All The Flowers of The World

Flowers always remind me something… and one of them is a poet & poem.  By one of famous Turkish poets, Ceyhun Atuf Kansu,

1)

ALL THE FLOWERS OF THE WORLD

……………………………………………………… “Bring me flowers all over the world ! “

……………………………………..  The last words of a village teacher, Sınığ Sefik

2)

I say all the flowers of the world,

Bring them all here,

3)

Bring my students, bring here,

they look like crocuses

blossomed in the bottom of the rocks

4)

Bring all the children of the village, here,

I have a last lesson for them,

5)

I will sing my last song,

Bring bring them to me…

and then I will die.

6)

I say all the flowers in the world,

I want to see the wild flowers of the mountains

that their fate looks like mine,

7)

no one knows them, they blossom in solitude,

disappear their smell in the wide plains…

8)

Beloved and unnamed flowers

of my home,

I want all of you, let me see you,

and then cover me how you cover

the soil.
